How to use this page

DriverHub US does not host installers. Read the family page for the hardware you own, work out which package applies to your exact model and Windows edition, then use the official-source citation provided for that decision. A component-branded family may still require the company that built your computer or motherboard rather than SteelSeries; follow the declared package source on the family page.

Where SteelSeries appears in the directory

Windows coverage recorded for these families: Windows 10, Windows 11. Coverage describes the Windows releases the family is documented against on this site, not a promise that every model in the line is supported on every release.

Listed families in detail

Bluetooth

SteelSeries Bluetooth Peripherals

SteelSeries wireless headsets and mice rely on the ordinary Windows Bluetooth connection for their core function, with the maker's engine software layered above for equalizer presets, button assignments, and firmware. As with other gaming peripherals, the device pairs and operates without the app, which is optional customization rather than a required driver. Add it when you want the extra controls.

Documented for: Windows 10, Windows 11

Companion software for SteelSeries wireless devices layered on the standard Bluetooth connection.

Keyboards

SteelSeries GG (Engine) Keyboard Support

SteelSeries GG, which includes the Engine module, configures Apex-line keyboards, managing illumination, macros, and per-application profiles. These are gaming keyboards, some with small OLED displays, that live on enthusiast desks. Basic typing needs nothing extra; GG is what unlocks the lighting layers and the app that switches profiles automatically as you change programs.

Documented for: Windows 10, Windows 11

Illumination, macros, and app-based profiles for Apex keyboards.

Game Controllers

SteelSeries Stratus / Nimbus Controllers

The Stratus and Nimbus are compact wireless controllers SteelSeries designed for mobile and PC play. On Windows they generally work as standard game controllers, while button mapping and firmware updates come from the SteelSeries GG software. As with other wireless pads, applying a firmware update over USB first tends to make later Bluetooth pairing more dependable.

Documented for: Windows 10, Windows 11

Use SteelSeries GG for mapping and firmware updates.
